Close to my grandparents farm there is a curious little neighbourhood on the shores of Lake Ontario that boasts an intriguing past.
Grimsby Beach Cottages
Grimsby Beach began life as a Methodist summer church camp. In the 1870s, the original tent accommodation began to be replaced by permanent board and batten cottages, trimmed with elaborate gingerbread or fretwork.
It’s a true Ontario travel “secret”. It’s not a major tourist attraction by any means, and you won’t find any road signs to help you get there
I love visiting this place. It's almost as if children were given a bunch of paint colors and tools and told to build the house of their dreams.
They look like the homes of Hansel and Gretel; you half expect Oompa Loompas to answer the door!
I love this yellow one - Oh Hello! I live here :)
I picked up this amazing wrap top with the most exaggrated puffy sleeves online. I originally planned to wear it with a skirt and heels, but yesterday I paired it with simple white shorts and some perforated oxfords. I loved the ecceltic mix - pairing a dressier top with a more relaxed pieces to create a casual look.
