Holiday Style Inspo

Thanksgiving, holiday parties, Christmas Day and NYE. The next two months are filled with plenty of social obligations, each one calling for a special outfit.

Here is a little collections of my favourite looks, some casual and some more formal, that you can take as inspiration as you start to plan your holiday looks this season.

I love these looks from Zac by Zac Posen. They are not not too over the top, and mixing plaid, a winter staple, with texture and classic, wearable items makes them a great investment.

More formal, these looks from Oscar del la Renta, Rachel Zoe and Zimmermann are just the epitome of chic. The use of feathers, whether in the vest or skirt, creates such a dreamy movement. More sheer black lace, because I love the romantic gothic style in the winter. That last Zimmermann look, with that shocking pink, is amazing and a sure way to not get lost in the mix at a party,

One of my favourites - Michael Kors! I don't think these looks require an ounce of qualification. They're perfect.

You may have noticed that I am loving the big punch of color that designers are showing this season. Winter is long, often dreary, and I think outfits like these turn-up the mood in festivities. They are fun, bold, move beautifully and have great textures.

What's the take away? Well gothic black lace with a touch of velvet and some soft make-up is a sexy option. Maybe go bold with metallics, bright colors and bold patterns - all at once! Or, stick to the classic like plaid and cashmere but create edge with feather or fringe - get some movement in there! Whatever your style there are so many options to have fun with fashion this holiday season.
